Former Louisville Cardinal forward Angel Nunez is expected to see his first minutes with Gonzaga Saturday as they play Kansas State on the road. Nunez transferred from Louisville a year ago. He averaged two points and 0.7 points for Louisville as a freshman in the 2011-12 Final Four season.
Nunez’s length and ability is much anticipated and needed for the No. 21 ranked Bulldogs.
“He is athletic and can do some things, getting a rebound or blocking a shot,” Few said of Nunez, “Now, whether that manifests itself in games will be the big question. I’ve been telling him for a year if he can bring that he’s going to play because it’s what we don’t have.
Game starts Saturday at 3:30pm EST on ESPN2.
