VYPE.com/Louisville – The Ballard Bruins are the 2013 King of the Bluegrass champions, winning the school’s fourth KOB crown last night at Fairdale with a 65-54 win over Trinity.
Ballard’s Quentin Snyder led the Bruins’ win with 23 points, and Kelan Martin added 18. Snyder led the tournament in 3-pointers with an average 3.25 per game, including 5 of 10 in the championship. Martin was 8 of 8 at the free throw line.
Michael Stafford contributed 15 points to the Shamrocks’ effort, while Craig Owens added 13 and Trey Ivory 10. Raymond Spalding of Trinity left the game after a collision with Brandon Berry, but led the tournament in offensive rebounds with 6.25 per game.
