Cairo Prince is out of the Kentucky Derby due to an ankle injury, according to Daily Racing Form. Cairo Prince won the Holy Bull in January and became an early favorite, but seemed to lose attention after placing fourth in the Florida Derby.

Cairo Prince is trained by Kiaran McLaughlin and owned by Godolphin Racing LLC, Paul Braverman, Harvey A. Clarke, and Namcook Stables LLC,and others.
With five career starts he has won 562,000 dollars while placing first three times and second once.
