Thursday evening at 7PM ET on ESPN Cincinnati (19-2, 8-0) will visit the YUM! Center and attempt to end the Card’s four game winning streak.  Louisville (17-3, 6-1) will attempt to end an even more impressive 12 game streak.  If the Cards are able to defeat Mick Cronin’s squad they will narrow the gap behind the first place Bearcats in the American Athletic Conference.

Rick Pitino’s Cards will welcome back tough guard Chris Jones.  Before being sidelined with a strained oblique muscle, Jones averaged 11.3 PPG and 2.9 APG during 25.4 MPG over the first 16 games of the season.  Chris also is tied with Russ Smith for the team lead with an average of 1.9 SPG.

The Bearcats’ Justin Jackson  sprained his left ankle this past Sunday against Temple, but will be playing according to ESPN.com.  A 6-8, 230 lb senior from Cocoa Beach, FL Jackson leads the team with 7.0 RPG and 3.4 BPG (he leads the AAC and is tied for third in the country in blocks). He will be the one player Louisville will have to contain underneath. He is a high energy kind of player, much like Harrell.

The Cards are favored by 9.5 points as of 1:00PM Thursday afternoon.
