Minnesota Timberwolves center Gorgui Dieng was named the Western Conference Rookie of the Month for his impressive performance in March. Dieng averaged for than 8.6 points and 8.3 rebounds per game in March.
The former Louisville Cardinal even started a few games for the Timberwolves. He even had a double-double against Houston with 22 points and 21 rebounds. He record five double-double last month, six games he had double figure rebounds.

Dieng had a rough start to his rookie season, even embarrassed himself by scoring in the other teams basket. You can tell that the Senegal native has been working on his game and wants to become a key contributor for Minnesota. It was amazing to watch his development in the three year’s at Louisville, if he grows at the pace he did while he was in college I expect him to be an All-Star in his fourth or fifth year.
