Former Murray State point guard Isaiah Canaan has been called up by the Houston Rockets Friday. Canaan has been playing for the Rio Grande Valley Vipers in the NBA’s D-League. He will be available in Sunday’s game against the Phoenix Suns.

Canaan has taken a couple of stints with the Vipers this season, he is averaging 21.8 points, 8.2 assists and four rebounds a game while playing in ten games. He scored 26 in 30 minutes of play Thursday night and also added nine assists.
The 6’0″ PG was drafted in the second-round by Houston in last year’s draft. He has played in five games total this season for Houston and has six total points and one rebound in the little action he has seen.
