Jodie Meeks Scored 54 Points Five years Ago Today

Kentucky fans were all witnesses to Jodie Meeks absolutely destroying Tennessee down in Knoxville back in 2009.  Meeks shot 15-22, 10-15 behind the arc and knocked down all 14 free throw attempts to compile those 54 points.

His night set a single game scoring record for Kentucky, breaking the past record held by Dan Issel.  All UT coach Bruce Pearl could do was smile and clap.  It was one of those magical nights you can’t script. Kentucky won the game 90-72.

Here is the video of Meeks scoring those 54 points in just 54 seconds!
