Kentucky takes the court tonight on the road verse Ole Miss, looking to get back on the winning track after falling to Florida at home over the weekend. Ole Miss will also look to get back to their winning ways after dropping two consecutive and avenge their earlier season loss at UK 80-64 on February 4th.

Ole Miss comes into tonight’s match up with a 16-9 record, 7-5 in SEC play. Since the first match up between the two, Ole Miss has gone 1-2, beating Missouri at home but losing to Alabama and Georgia on the road.

Wonder boy Marshall Henderson continues to lead the way for Ole Miss averaging 19.5 points per game. Teammate Jarvis Summers is the only other Rebel in double-figure scoring at 16.8 per outing.

Ole Miss will most likely focus their offense around those two guards as they combined for 27 points in their first meeting. Other than them, Kentucky didn’t allow Mississippi to do much, switching everybody on defense and creating moments where its big men were guarding smaller Rebels who couldn’t even get around them. Offensively, it was no contest as the Wildcats took over inside and I expect the same tonight.

As for Kentucky, they enter tonight’s game as a 5-point favor and a 19-6 record, 9-3 in conference. The road atmosphere will of course be tough as a full house is expected but these fresh,an have somewhat been there, done that now and should be able to get past that.

The size of Kentucky is drastically bigger than Ole Miss with two seven foot centers. Willie Cauley-Stein who has been off over the last month will have a big night. He is much more athletic and taller, he should have his way inside as he did on Feb 4th.

The guards will just need to get out on the 3-point shots that will be jacked up left and right. Do this and you’re looking at win 20 and another solid road pick up, lose it, then you are somewhat nervous heading into the home stretch of the regular season.

My prediction, Kentucky wins 74-66. Go cats.
