Luke Kennard, a shooting guard from Franklin, Ohio, will make his college decision in a ceremony at his school Monday at 7:45pm. Kennard was high on Kentucky’s list, but the 6’5″ shooter has only been to one official visit and that was Duke.
John Calipari and the UK assistance have visited Kennard a couple of times.
He also has offers from Michigan, Louisville, Ohio State and several other D-1 schools.
Luke Kennard is considered the second-best shooting guard and the 15th-best player in the 2015 class by 247Sports.com. As a junior he averaged 40 points and ten rebounds per game which helped him earn the honor of AP Ohio Mr. Basketball. He scored a career high 59 in one game this past season.
According to Harald-Leader, Duke has the edge. Since Kentucky is still in the NCAA Tournament and Duke isn’t, it may be hard for Calipari to give one last push.
