The Kentucky Wildcats will be playing their second straight SEC road game Tuesday night as they take on the 11-4 Arkansas Razorbacks. The young Cats are coming off an impressive win over Vandy Saturday afternoon, winning 71-62. Kentucky showed they still have some things to work on, but coach Calipari was happy that his squad was the aggressor.
Arkansas is an aggressive team, who will come out fighting. They almost pulled out a victory at home against the No.7 Florida Gators in overtime over the weekend. The Razorbacks put the pressure on defense, forcing 8.2 steals per game so far this season. They also have some depth, playing up to 12 players in a game.
Razorback fans will be ready, as the game inside Bud Walton Arena will be a whiteout. Arkansas is 23-1 in their last 24 home games, they did have the third longest home winning streak in college basketball until Saturday’s loss to Florida.
Kentucky has more size and rebounding ability, ranked 5th in the nation in total rebounds per game. Arkansas is ranked 71st with just 38.1 boards per outing.
Coach Cal wants his team to show their dominance, be the best players on the floor.
Cal: “Get beat because they’re better than you, and they executed.”
