Bobby Petrino is not only offering great high school prospects, he is going after some elite college transfers as well. Thursday both Shaq Wiggins and JaQuay Williams announced they will be transferring to the Louisville Cardinals. Both Wiggins and Williams will have to sit out one year.

Shaq Wiggins is a 5’10″ corner from Georgia who played last year under Louisville’s new defensive coordinator Todd Grantham. He started eight games last season as a freshman. He had 18 tackles, four pass breakups and two interceptions, including a 39 yard pick for a touchdown against Vandy.

The talented corner from Tyrone, Georgia was considered the 13th-best CB in the 2013 class by 247Sports.com when he committed to the Bulldogs over Texas A&M, South Carolina, Auburn, Florida and several other top D-I schools. Louisville had also offered him.

JaQuay Williams is a 6’4″ wide receiver from Texas A&M. Williams and Wiggins both played high school ball at Sandy Creek High school.

Williams was a JUCO transfer to Texas A&M last year. He had four catches for 71 yards and a touchdown. He was committed to Auburn for the 2012 class, but did not qualify so he was forced to go to junior college.

Petrino is getting a lot of talent to prepare for the ACC. It is great to have him back.
