This is a huge recruiting weekend for Bobby Petrino and the new Louisville football staff. With not much time before the national signing day, the Cards have several recruits in town and some coaches on the road. Saturday they offered JUCO defensive tackle Marcus Smith. His name alone will make Louisville fans excited losing sack specialist Marcus Smith and have a chance to gain another.
He is verbal to Texas Tech at this moment, he did have an offer from Western Kentucky so he has a relationship with some of the coaches.
The 6’3″, 305 lbs. Smith had 49 tackles and 4.5 sacks this past season for Highlands Community College in Kansas. He considered the 29th-best JUCO DT by ESPN.com.
