Earl Clark was apart of a trade to the Philadelphia 76ers by the Cleveland Cavilers Thursday, less than 24 hour late he was waived. The former Louisville Cardinals forward was apart of a trade for the 76ers center Spencer Hawes.
Clark has played in 45 games this season with the Cavs averaging 5.2 points and 2.8 rebounds. Last season he earned a starting role for the LA Lakers for part of the season and averaged 7.3 points and 5.3 rebounds per game.
The 6’10″ Clark had signed with Cleveland for two years, $8.5 million,he was not guaranteed a contract for next season.
There are plenty of teams, including his former team the Lakers, that could use a good backup power forward.
