Louisville signee Quentin Snider passed Allan Houston as Ballard High School’s all-time scorer Saturday night against Eastern High. He needed 27 points coming into the game, he ended the game with 30. Snider still has plenty of season to add onto his record as well.
Quentin Snider breaks Allan Houston’s scoring record!
— Ballard Athletics (@Ballard_Sports) February 9, 2014
Snider is considered the fifth-best point guard in the 2014 class by ESPN.com.
Rick Pitino will be glad to have anther quality scorer next season in his back-court. Pitino was not at the game Saturday night, he was supporting his son Richard at the Minnesota vs. Indiana game.
Allan Houston graduated from Ballard and went on to play at Tennessee, where he is now the 2nd leading scorer in the schools history. He also had his jersey retired in 2011. After Tennessee, he played several years in the NBA.
I am sure if Snider can have a career like Houston’s we will be retiring his number in the Yum! in the future.
