Rajon Rondo has been working out the kinks since he returned from his ACL injury last month. Before Sunday’s game against the Orlando Magic, the Celtics lost all six game since their star point guard returned. Sunday was a different story, Boston won 96-89 and Rondo had 19 points, 10 assists, six rebounds and three steals.
The former Kentucky star seems to be back to normal, comfortable.
“I made a lot of my shots,” Rondo said after the game via BostonGlobe.com. “But I feel more comfortable around the basket. A lot of my flip shots went in today. But, like I said, I take it one day at a time.”
Coach Brad Stevens is glad to have him back and playing well.
“I think we execute a little crisper,” Stevens said via USA Today. “The ball seems to have found the right guys a lot, especially today. I think that’s more of guys getting used to playing with one another.”
