According to Scout.com’s Jason Higdon, defensive line coach Clint Hurtt is leaving Louisville. He was held on after Charlie Strong left for Texas. He is unable to coach at any other college due to repercussions of NCAA violations while at Miami.

Tom Jurich stuck his neck out for Hurtt as many called for him to be fired after accusations of Hurtt taking a loan from a Miami alumni and also allegations of recruiting violations.
Some reports via Twitter are saying Hurtt is leaving for a NFL position. Hard to argue with that if that is the case.
Hurtt was an amazing recruiter and was well loved by the football team. That is one of the reasons Petrino kept him on, to keep moral high in the locker room. He brought a lot of excitement and energy to the program. He will be missed.

It will be interesting who Petrino will get to replace him.
