It was not pretty, but after Thursday nights tough loss Louisville really just needed a win. Louisville came away with it, 87-70. Russ Smith led all scorers with 27 points, adding five rebounds, two steals and two assists.


Luke Hancock score 16 and added five assists. He is getting really good at finding the open player, especially Montrezl Harrell. Trez had 14 points, seven rebounds and two blocks.

Harrell started at center and Wayne Blackshear, who has been coming off the bench lately, started at the power forward position. Wayne scored 10 points and got sic boards.

There were 47 total fouls in the game, which is probably why it was a little ugly. The Cards forced 16 turnovers including seven steals. Louisville was out-rebounded 38-35.

Louisville travels to Houston Wednesday at 9pm.
