According to MaxPreps.com, 21 Kentucky high school football players have signed with Division-I schools. To compare Texas has the most with 376. This of course does not count walk-ons.
Western Kentucky has the most local players with 10. Kentucky has four and Louisville has just one player from the Bluegrass State.
According to 247Sports.com, Kentucky has four of the top five high school players in the state coming. Louisville has Trinity QB Reggie Bonnafon who is considered the third-best player in the state.
