Both Teddy Bridgewater and Johnny Manziel are expected to be two of the top quarterbacks in the upcoming NFL draft. Surprisingly both will be visiting the New England Patriots Wednesday, which is very unusual. The Patriots have the 29th pick in the draft, which seems deep in the draft for either QB.
Also if the Patriots do pickup and quarterback they will have to play behind Tom Brady until at least 2017 when his contract is up. Ryan Mallet is the Patriots backup QB as of now.
Bridgewater has fallen just a little bit in the latest mock drafts since a disappointing pro day at Louisville. Manziel stayed about the same in the projections, but he did dazzle the huge crowd that came to see him at Texas A&M.
It would be interesting to hear the differences in personalities and abilities of the two QBs by the Patriots staff after Wednesday’s visit.
Blake Bortles has already visited with New England.
